photo; bbc
Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot outside of his own store by the shooter, Eric Holder. Hussle was shot and killed in his own neighborhood and someone paid the Holder to kill him. He was about drop a documentary with Dr. Sebi’s on how to cure AIDS and different diseases for the black community. Unfortunately, they were unable to make that happen due to black on black crime; however Nick Cannon decided to pick up where Hussle left off in the process of making this documentary film. Hussle was a humanitarian, hair seller, rapper, businessman, and Muslim mainly telling black people to buy property and invest in neighborhoods such as his own. Many fans remember him as a great advocate for the black community and showing nothing but love  around the world. Hussle also created a STEM lab in order to promote black arts and culture for the people to use. He wanted to stop gang violence and shootings to make a better environment in Los Angeles and spread hope to the world as well. Due to his death his album “Victory Lap” was nominated for a Grammy for the best rap album and number #4 on the Billboard chart. Many rap artists paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle’s death and the black community grew stronger after this dreadful incident. People tried to also pay homage at his store but some unknown people began shooting at the crowd and could not celebrate Nipsey’s life in peace. He gave the black community a wake up call to tell them that we need to create unity within the black culture and killing will get us nowhere. He was a very successful rapper in the rap game helping the education system, promoting his own business, and keeping kids off the streets for a better cause. His legacy as an artist will never be forgotten to many rap artists in the industry. He showed people how to invest their money and went to business meeting on ways to bring programs to the kids and giveaways to show support to kids in need of school supplies and such. He never had any altercations with anyone in Los Angeles and turned a new leaf to tell black people to help each other grow as a whole rather than individually. Many fans were sad about the lost of Hussle and morn till this day about this incident.

Apparently, Uzi was supposed to drop his album in December and Atlantic Records refused that he could drop any music. Instagrammers were commenting some very vulgar post about him not letting Uzi drop any of his songs. Uzi decided to go on Instagram and post “Free Uzi” on his story because the label would not let him drop anything and he could not say too much on social media. He was supposed to be on NAV’s album but Don Cannon and DJ Drama would not let him clear his verse. He had other songs that he was featured on and his label still said no to Uzi. He had to explain to his followers that the label is basically holding his tracks and not letting drop anything and it has been a while since he has dropped an album. Uzi began to lose hope and wanted to quit rap because they would not let him drop a single track. Throughout continuous months of Uzi’s hiatus in the rap game he finally got confirmation that he could drop his album Eternal Atake any day now. Uzi still wanted out on his deal with Atlantic Records and Roc Nation helped him get out of his deal and he instantly began creating music again. Thanks to Jay-Z’s record label, Uzi is now able to record tracks and do as he pleases as far as the album goes. He recently dropped a track called “Free Uzi” that released on SoundCloud and Youtube; no other platforms did not receive this new Uzi song. That was his breakthrough as far as dropping music and he was glad to be able to do that again thanks to Jay-Z’s record label. After “Free Uzi” dropped then he released his new hit single “Sanguine Paradise” to follow up with that song. When he dropped “Sanguine Paradise” he began to talk about the money that he was getting after “Free Uzi” dropped! Throughout the success of his two newest songs keeping releasing more and more songs throughout the past two months he has been keeping his audience interested in his music. He dropped his song “That’s A Rack” to hype his fans up telling them that Uzi is back and better. He is doing well and traveling buying more jewelry every other day.

Old Town Road

Billboard reviewed the song “Old Town Road” and said that the song was not country enough and it was immediately removed off the charts. Billy Ray Cyrus was questioning what make the song not a country song after listening to the hit song. It became a song that everyone made dance videos to on Tik-Tok and different social media apps by promoting. Publication did not believe that it did not have the qualities of being a country song. It caused plenty of debates on whether if it was a country song or not as far as the instrumental. It had a hip hop style to it, but it also had a country twist to it technically making it a country song to others. After releasing the remix, it is currently sitting at Number #15 on the BillBoard charts. He was mentioning that he wanted to “ride till he can’t no more” trying to make a breakthrough within the music industry. He was happy being on the Billboards alone because that was such an accomplishment for him. He started getting attention by putting music in funny memes and the cowboy challenge to promote his music.
