Narcolepsy is a chronic sleeping disorder that makes people sleep at random.This can mess up their sleep patterns throughout the day and make the person unable to sleep at night. There are 2 types of narcolepsy: there is narcolepsy with cataplexy and with cataplexy. Cataplexy is an unstable amount of emotions that cannot be contained throughout people that tend to be joyful at one moment and instantly go to sleep. They sometimes deal with this occasionally or once or twice in a year. It also comes with different side effects followed by sleep paralysis, hallucinations, and REM that can greatly affect your body. Sleep paralysis is when the person is unable to speak while they are going to sleep or waking up. Hallucinations as far as speaking on narcolepsy is seeing an illusion that was never there in the first place, however they will sense an odd presence. Narcolepsy copies these certain symptoms and triggers within people that can affect them in life or death situations. Rapid eye movement comes about every 15 minutes when they feel themselves falling asleep. No one is sure of how narcolepsy came about but people with low hypocretin levels are most likely to have type 1 narcolepsy. Genetics are also to blame, however it is rare that people could pass that down to their child or children. People might try to differentiate a regular sleeping pattern compared to narcolepsy but they are two completely different things. A regular sleeping pattern slows your brain waves down and non rapid eye movement begins (which is regularly falling asleep) activate your REM in the process. Narcolepsy instantly gets the person into REM without going through NREM. Normally this starts to occur at the earliest age of 10 to 30 in the process. People often mistake the regular sleeping and narcolepsy which is normally based off what the public publishes on social media. However it is a very urgent issue that should not be taken lightly or looked down upon and can affect your life greatly. It can affect the performance within the career you’re trying to pursue being viewed as a slothful or unenergetic. This can also affect your personal relationships and love life that can trigger that person to instantly go to sleep due to the side effects. They can be a potential danger on the road and most likely could be overweight due to the effects.
